Andrew McGuire
Andrew McGuire

A passionate advocate of lifesaving & life-improving causes, Andrew – a child burn victim who the Chicago Tribune referred to as a “MacArthur ‘genius grant’ winner” – almost single-handedly forced the tobacco companies to produce fire-safe cigarettes (FSC) in all 50 of the United States and 27 countries of the European Union, sparing millions of people the agony he experienced first-hand as a burn victim.

Andrew, who helped craft our U.S. ‘standby’ donor & social media ‘word of mouth’ plan & proposal, wrote:

“ represents the most effective, inexpensive solution for bringing blood into all U.S. blood services regardless of those services’ affiliations.  It would be nice to be ahead of the curve for a change in at least this one area of [the] health care system….”
