Andrew McGuire
Andrew McGuire

A passionate advocate of lifesaving & life-improving causes, Andrew – a child burn victim who the Chicago Tribune referred to as a “MacArthur ‘genius grant’ winner” – almost single-handedly forced the tobacco companies to produce fire-safe cigarettes (FSC) in all 50 of the United States and 27 countries of the European Union, sparing millions of people the agony he experienced first-hand as a burn victim.

Andrew, who helped craft our U.S. ‘standby’ donor & social media ‘word of mouth’ plan & proposal, wrote:

“USBloodDonors.org represents the most effective, inexpensive solution for bringing blood into all U.S. blood services regardless of those services’ affiliations.  It would be nice to be ahead of the curve for a change in at least this one area of [the] health care system….”
